Cut the orange and apple in half, then slice both fruits thinly. Rinse the cranberries, if necessary, and discard any remaining stems. Set all of the prepared fruit aside.
Place the sliced orange, sliced apple, and cranberries in a large pitcher. Add the rosemary sprigs if using, followed by the cranberry juice cocktail, white wine, orange liqueur, and optional simple syrup.
Stir the contents of the pitcher well so that the wine, juice, liqueur, syrup, and fruit are evenly incorporated.
Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours. For a more developed fruit flavor, allow the sangria to refrigerate overnight.
After chilling, taste the sangria. If a sweeter drink is preferred, stir in additional simple syrup as needed.
Fill serving glasses with ice and pour the thoroughly chilled sangria over the ice.
Finish each glass, if desired, with extra thin slices of apple and orange, several cranberries, and a fresh rosemary sprig.
