Ingredients

  • ½ cup dried cranberries chopped into small pieces for even distribution
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated zest from a medium orange
  • 8 ounces cream cheese brought to room temperature
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger optional
  • ½ cup dried apricots finely cut into roughly ¼-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  • Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl. Add the chopped dried cranberries, finely diced apricots, orange juice, grated orange zest, and ground ginger.
  • Whisk or stir the ingredients thoroughly until the cream cheese becomes smooth and the fruit, citrus zest, and ginger are evenly dispersed throughout the mixture.
  • Taste the dip and, when preferred, adjust the amount of orange juice or ground ginger without altering its spreadable consistency.
  • Transfer the prepared mixture to a serving bowl or wrap it securely. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the dip can firm slightly and the flavors can fully develop.
  • Remove the chilled dip from the refrigerator before serving. Allow it to rest briefly at room temperature for a softer texture, when desired.
  • Serve with crackers, fresh fruit, or thinly sliced baguette.

Notes

Freshly squeezed orange juice provides the clearest citrus flavor. Finely chopping the dried fruit ensures that each serving contains an even balance of cranberries and apricots.
