Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cottage cheese preferably a smooth-textured variety such as Daisy
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk for a richer consistency
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 small clove garlic minced very finely
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ground black pepper added according to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill finely chopped
  • Salt as needed to taste

Instructions

  • Place the small garlic clove in a mini food processor or compact blender. Process until the garlic is finely chopped.
  • Add the cottage cheese, freshly squeezed lemon juice, dried oregano, chopped dill, green onions, and milk to the processed garlic.
  • Season the mixture with a small amount of salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Process the ingredients until the dip becomes completely smooth and creamy. Continue blending for approximately one to two minutes, or until everything is thoroughly combined.
  • Taste the finished dip and add additional salt or black pepper as needed.
  • For a thinner consistency, incorporate a small additional amount of milk and blend again until the preferred texture is reached.
  • Serve immediately alongside vegetables, crackers, or chips.
  • Transfer any remaining dip to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 5 days. Stir well before serving again when necessary.
