Ingredients

  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix Lipton preferred
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Warm the oil in a skillet over medium heat, then sear the pork chops until browned on each side; discard any excess fat. In a baking dish, evenly layer the potato slices across the bottom.
  • Place the seared pork chops over the potatoes. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and onion soup mix until smooth.
  • Pour this mixture evenly over the contents in the dish, ensuring complete coverage. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork chops are thoroughly cooked.

Notes

Season the layers with salt and pepper as desired before baking for enhanced flavor.
