Gradually add in the Bisquick baking mix and continue mixing until thoroughly incorporated.
Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, adjusting the amount to taste. Mix until the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the sausage mixture.
Scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls using a spring-loaded cookie scoop or your hands, and arrange them on the prepared baking sheets. For a more uniform shape, gently roll the balls in your hands.
Place the baking sheets in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to chill the sausage balls. This step helps prevent them from spreading during baking.
Bake the chilled sausage balls in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until they are firm to the touch and golden brown.
